LIFE SAFETY SYSTEMS AND BUILDING COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
Functional and systematic testing of Fire Department Communication Systems (Sound Powered Phones or DC Powered Phones) and Life Safety Systems that are inclusive of the components and circuits arranged to annunciate the status of fire alarm devices, supervisory signal initiating devices, ancillary controls such as HVAC Fan Shut Down, Smoke Control Systems, Central Station Notification, etc.

AUDIBLE, VISUAL, AND VOICE EVACUATION SYSTEMS
Test for acceptable, measureable sound pressure (dB) of sound actuated devices, appropriate Effective Intensity and Light Pulse Characteristics on visual notification devices, and, where required, ". . . the reproduction of prerecorded, synthesized, or live (e.g., microphone, telephone handset, and radio) messages with voice intelligibility." NFPA 72 (2002) 7.4.1.4

PRESSURIZED STAIRWAYS AND SMOKE TOWERS
Minimum Requirements and Operational Characteristics are tested against a pre-engineered Sequence of Operation to establish acceptable means of egress using stairways.

EMERGENCY GENERATOR POWER AND LIGHTING SYSTEMS
Minimum Candela Requirements for egress and minimum requirements for equipment operation are tested per the acceptable Sequence of Operation supplied for the equipment being tested.
